St. Luke’s Hospital is a faith-based center that has been treating patients over the past 150 years. Over this time, the center has expanded. In addition to their two hospitals, you can find them in over 30 outpatient locations across the St. Louis area. No matter how much they’ve grown, however, their commitment to their patients remains at the heart of all they do. From the beginning of your pregnancy through the postpartum stage, your voice is going to be elevated by expert providers!
Services
My very favorite part about St. Luke’s Birthing Center is how many options they have for every parent. Before your delivery, you are going to work with your provider to create your ideal birth plan. They are going to find out about your preferences and make sure you have all the tools to make it a reality! During your labor, you will be in a private Birth Care Suite designed to feel like home. You will have your own bathroom with a large shower, a sofa sleeper for your support person, wifi, a flat-screen TV with a DVD player, and hotel-style room service.
Additionally, all the nurses have trained with doulas, so they can support you if you decide to have a natural childbirth. If you choose this option, you will have access to a whirlpool labor tub where you can use hydrotherapy to get through! Following delivery, you can have your baby by your side 24/7. If you do decide you need a break, you can utilize their Well Baby Nursery at any time of day.

St. Luke’s Hospital wants to make sure every baby has the very best start to life! They have a Special Care Nursery for babies who require additional help. This is a Level II NICU where your baby can receive constant assistance. Your nurses will also check on you throughout this time. Above all, they ensure you have the physical and emotional support you need throughout this stage.
