The one year session is another major milestone session that captures baby around their first birthday. For these sessions, we can include a cake for a cake smash. We can also plan to include a splash! We can add bubbles, some of the wooden toys available in the studio, or you can bring along a family heirloom to be photographed with baby.
Baby Milestone sessions are meant for capturing your little one at different stages of growth throughout their first year. Most clients will choose to capture two of the major milestones, a sitter session and a one year session. A sitter session typically takes place around 6-7 months or when baby is sitting unsupported.
What is a baby Milestone Session?
My style is very minimalistic and timeless which allows the images to be focused on baby rather than the set up. For in-studio sessions, you can expect a set up with a white wall, white flooring, neutral colored props and wooden toys. We want baby to be the first thing we see in the images! Cake smash sessions typically take place around 12 months. I will provide a white cake stand and lots of wardrobe options for baby. All you need to bring is a cake and a cute baby!

To keep the session fun and playful for your baby, you have the option to include our bubble machine or choose from a variety of our wooden toys. You can also choose to include a white tub for a bubble bath with rubber duckies! I have lots of options to keep baby having fun so we can capture a genuine smile. A swim diaper and white diaper cover are the perfect wardrobe options for these sessions.

Sunset sessions are a beautiful way to photograph your baby's milestone session. To capture that stunning golden hour light we will schedule your session one hour before sunset. I will help you decide on the perfect location that fits your vision for your session, as well as your vision for your artwork. Some of my favorite locations include Forest Park, Bush Wildlife, and Towne Park. However, I love when clients invite me to a location that is unique and special to them.

To help you and your baby prepare for a successful baby milestone session, I have put together some tips and answered a few frequently asked questions for you. These helpful tips will apply to any milestone session, whether it’s a session in-studio or outdoors.
All baby milestone sessions will be baby focused, with a few parent shots. We will photograph baby in diaper cover/naked baby, our studio outfit, and an outfit provided by the parents. We can add bubbles, our wooden toys or you can bring along a family heirloom (wooden toys, quilt, etc) to be photographed...

Documenting your pregnancy is a huge milestone not to be missed! This is truly a special time that captures the anticipation of your baby's arrival. Your children will grow to cherish these images as they see all of the emotions captured during your session.
the maternity session | 29-34 weeks
Captured when they are sitting up on their own, this session comes with lots of smiles and personality! For some babies, they will be reaching this stage between 6-8 months old. Be prepared to capture chubby thighs, cheeks, and feet!
Captured when they are just standing up and starting to explore. Now that they are more mobile, those rolls are starting to disappear!
The Sitter Session | 6-7 Months old

This session can be a fresh 48, a studio newborn session, or an in-home lifestyle session. If you're doing a fresh 48 session, I suggest scheduling your newborn session closer to when your baby is one month old.

The one year session is best at 11-12 months. For studio sessions we can plan traditional portraits as well as a cake smash, a bubble bath, or incorporate a variety of wooden toys available in the studio to keep baby smiling and having fun! Book your session early to ensure you will have your images for their first birthday party!

This membership records the first year in beautiful detail, documenting every wonderful milestone and the huge growth that takes place at this age. Collective members receive their choice of 3 or more milestone sessions in the first 18 months as well as complimentary birth announcements and an album credit toward each session! Many clients will use their album credit to craft a beautiful keepsake for their little one's with all of their favorite images from the whole first year!

I offer custom framing services and my goal is to give my clients the most archival framing possible. The absolute best way to protect your prints for the longest amount of time is by getting them properly framed behind glass, conservation acrylic or museum acrylic. Showcase your favorite images in a custom designed Heirloom Album that can be past down through the generations. Many families enjoy creating an album that highlights each milestone, giving a library of memories to their children. Others choose to create a First Year Album that is built overtime and completed with their baby's 12 month session.
