Brookings Exploration Center

As your St. Louis baby starts discovering the magic of flowers, head down to the Brookings Exploration Center to give them a brand new point of view! The center gives kids of all ages an exciting way to learn about the science of plants. Your baby will get to listen to the sounds of nature, see all the critters living in the soil, read a book in the Family Tree Area, or create a craft in the maker space. There’s no additional fee outside of your Garden Admission.

Play Street Museum

Play Street Museum is a St. Louis creative space that gives babies the ability to come in and imagine their own little world. The center is outfitted with storefronts that will get your child’s creativity flowing. The museum offers free admission for babies with the purchase of a sibling ticket. You will be able to find tons of corners where your baby can safely play with toys stocked specifically for their age. During the warmer weather, the center brings out water tables to let your baby splash around.  

For Baby and Me – The Magic House

516 S. Kirkwood Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63122

While the Magic House can certainly feel overwhelming for younger kids, their For Baby and Me center is the perfect St. Louis place to spend a few hours. This area is gated off and lets kids ages 2 and under climb around on wooden structures. Your baby can toddle through their houses or go down their mini-slides. Plus, the area is right next to the larger indoor playground, making it a great way to keep every sibling happy all at once.

Saint Louis Science Center

The Saint Louis Science Center is a beloved institution for St. Louis residents of all ages. From their life-sized T-Rex through their amazing Omnimax center, your child (nor you!) is never going to run out of ways to explore. The center features a Discover Room specifically created for younger toddlers and infants. In this space-themed room, your child can climb up a rocket, play in the sand, look at a saltwater aquarium, or stick to the crawler corner while older siblings run around the area.
