For years, The Magic House has been a local gem full of rotating hands-on exhibits perfect for kids of all ages. Your child can climb around in their indoor playground or make some meals in their pretend restaurant. There’s an art studio as well as an outdoor water area. Make sure to cap off your visit by getting a legendary, hair-raising picture next to the static ball on the top level!

Big Joel’s Safari opens up every spring for an outdoor journey unlike any other. While some of the animals need a little more distance, there are plenty of creatures that let you get up close and personal. You can feed some baby goats or hand out a parakeet stick. There are also some kangaroos, porcupines, and alligators.

While the Missouri Botanical Gardens offers all sorts of adventures throughout the year, toddlers will love spending the morning at the Brookings Exploration Center. This space lets your child learn all about plants across the world, from the terrain to the growing cycles. The maker space also offers crafts.

Frisco Train Store is an actual former inn opened by the railroad. Today, it sells tons of beloved toys, including the classic Brio train sets. Plus, it lets your child try them out for free. The City Museum has quickly earned its spot on bucket lists across the nation. While the expansive center is good for people of all ages, there’s plenty for toddlers to check out. The treehouse on the third floor and the neighboring skateless park are areas where your child can run around without getting lost in the famous underground caves. You can also do crafts or hang out at Toddler Town.
