When you live in St. Louis, you always have to be prepared for an unpredictable forecast. It’s not rare to be wearing shorts one day and scraping frost off your windshield the next. If you have small kids, one of the best tools you can have at your disposal is a great indoor playground. This way, you have the perfect place to go once the Missouri weather starts doing its thing. If you’re on the search for the best indoor playgrounds around St. Louis, I would love to give you my list of family favorites!
2933 Barrett Station Road, Saint Louis, Missouri 63122
Since 1944, the National Museum of Transportation has been a fantastic way to see all the ways we travel. The center has interactive displays of different vehicles and features a real outdoor train that lets you cruise around the campus. Toddlers and preschoolers will absolutely adore the Major Lee Berra Creation Station. With train tables, playhouses, and mini-buses, your little explorer will have a great place to go for productive playtime!
140 Long Rd, Suite 108, Chesterfield, Missouri 63005
Go Play! is the most recent indoor playground around, and I’m pretty sure it’s about to become the favorite! This bright and colorful space gives kids the perfect outlet to let loose. They offer two daily playtimes and close each Wednesday night for a regular deep cleaning. They suggest booking in advance just to be safe. While older kids will love the level-spanning slides, there’s a baby room where tots can safely play apart from all the chaos.
283 Lamp and Lantern Village, Town and Country, Missouri 63017
Budding scientists and tiny discoverers alike will love Myseum! This indoor playground space has been filled with different hands-on activities to get your St. Louis child thinking. They can run through a maze of pool noodles to discover a friendly swamp monster, run around an inflatable UFO, tend to animals in a jungle vet station, dig up dinosaur bones, and more. Plus, they have a Tesla coil that puts on a regular show, filling the space with beloved tunes.
1650 Beale St. #138, St. Charles, Missouris 63303
Play Street Museum is a place where your child can go and indulge their sense of imagination. This mini-village has been created for kids ages 1-8. Your child can throw on a firefighter suit and take the mini-fire truck to put out imaginary fires or dish out some sweet treats at the ice cream parlor. There are also craft tables where your child can make a one-of-a-kind creation.
If you’re looking for the best places to go, no matter the forecast, check out these St. Louis indoor playgrounds. With any of these spots, you can get out of the house and have one of the best days ever!
