Throughout your pregnancy, you’ll receive regular prenatal care with Jennifer. As your due date nears, she’ll work with you so you can get the supplies you need for your home birth. The practice will supply a birthing pool if needed. Following your delivery, your birth team will stay by your side for 3-4 hours, performing assessments and ensuring a tidy space so you can focus on bonding with your newborn.
Sacred Garden Midwifery
Sacred Garden Midwifery serves as a home birth practice started by Barbara Gremaud, a certified professional and nurse midwife with personal experience following her own home births. Jennifer Konkol of Peaceful Beginnings trained Barbara and continues to work closely with her.
Barbara lets you choose your team for your home birth. The home birth fee includes the pool, so you don’t have to worry about unexpected charges. Outside of her midwifery work, Barbara provides lactation consultations as an IBCLC and well-woman visits within her Central West End office.

You’ll receive scheduled prenatal visits and basic prenatal lab work throughout your pregnancy. As you get closer to your due date, you’ll receive home visits where Andi can advise you on how to get your space ready for delivery. The center will provide the birth pool free of charge so you can use water to propel you through your home birth. The birth team will assess and clean your space as you rest with your newborn.
