Be By Baby is a one-woman operation that was started by Danielle Croce. Danielle is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant who approaches her work with a wide range of knowledge. Long before she started Be By Baby, she spent a decade working as a NICU nurse. After a switch-up at her hospital, she was tasked with teaching new moms how to breastfeed. She quickly adapted and fell in love with walking alongside her parents as they built up the confidence to nurse their babies. In 2014, she decided it was time to commit to her new calling fully and gained the certification needed to pursue this work full-time. Now, she works with parents across the St. Louis and St. Charles area to help them on their breastfeeding journey!

When you book Be By Baby, you can select between home and office visits. With both of these visits, Danielle will spend time with you and get to the bottom of your struggles. She will start with a consultation where she will ask you about your health history and birth experience. During the visit, you will perform a breastfeeding session, and she will weigh your baby pre- and post-feeding. She will provide you with a written care plan, send a report over to your healthcare provider, and do a follow-up call. If you visit her in the office, she will ensure that you feel as comfortable as possible. She can also provide you with a flange fitting and pumping support if needed.

While many moms only book a lactation consultant once they’re struggling, Be By Baby lets you book her services while you’re still pregnant. With her prenatal visits, you will spend an hour going over your potential concerns and receiving a thorough understanding of what to expect. She aims to help you go into delivery feeling fully prepared for those initial feedings!
