My dear college friend, Mikayla and her husband Nick were so sweet to fly me out to Colorado to shoot their Maternity session last September. I was incredibly lucky to be able to spend a few extra days there so that they could show me around Colorado Springs. They were great hosts! Not only did they take me to all of the great tourists spots, but they also gave me 5 star treatment with a facial and home cooked meals with food from their garden. I’m already planning my next trip…especially so I can see that sweet angel that was recently born!
Here are a few images that were taken while touring. My favorite moment has to be when we found the local burrow in Cripple Creek, CO. They walk all over looking for tourists to feed them. They were NOT shy! The wild burrow were left when this mine town was abandoned after WWII. Cripple Creek is a town with so much history!
Places visited: US Air Force Academy, Peterson Air Force Base, Cripple Creek Colorado (town goats pictured below), some place in the mountains, and Colorado Springs.

A rating of 5 is not high enough for Kelly!! Kelly is an amazing photographer, was absolutely wonderful to work with, and was quick to reply to emails. Shes an upbeat and positive person, which made out photo sessions comfortable and fun!! Kelly is professional in more ways than one and I highly recommend her to anyone in the St. Louis area wanting some maternity and/or family photos taken!
